Part of the Community Canvas Series presented by the Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion is bringing community events to Mattapan Square in July, August, and September.
The Seafood Throwdown competition is a fun, educational, and community-driven activity that promotes local seafood and features two local Chefs from local restaurants. The event features mystery seafood and is accompanied by fresh seasonable ethnic vegetables and possibly fruit grown by farmers' market vendors. The event highlights the farmers at the market, local neighborhood Chefs, and local seafood.
The Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion Office of Mayor Michelle Wu sponsors Community Canvas Pop-up events. The Pop-ups will occur in Nubian Square and Mattapan Square on Saturdays in July, August, and September.
