Science Shaping Our World-SHOW Scientist-Entrepreneur Series: From Therapeutics to Diagnostics

Science Shaping Our World-SHOW is an ongoing seminar and networking series that highlights cutting edge, translational, life science research and development. This season of SHOW is focused on the scientist-entrepreneur where we will be highlighting companies and innovations created by researchers and clinicians addressing a broad spectrum of healthcare need.

Speakers for April’s SHOW event include:
*Julien L. Pham, MD, MPH, COO at Genprex – Dr. Pham, has over fifteen (15) years of leadership experience in clinical settings and in emerging medical technology companies. Currently, he serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Genprex a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing targeted molecular therapies for cancer. He was also the co-founder and served as Chief Medical Officer of RubiconMD, a healthcare IT company that connects primary care providers to specialists for additional guidance and opinions on medical cases.
*Rathi Srinivas, PhD, Co-founder and CSO at Novoyxis - Dr. Srinivas is co-founder and CSO of Novopyxis, a Boston-based biotech doing early stage medical device and therapeutic development. Novopyxis currently has two products in their portfolio: a hand-held needle-free transdermal delivery device to get large molecules deeper through skin painlessly and a mathematically designed therapeutic to treat cardiovascular disease. The company has won several awards including the CASIS-Boeing Prize for Technology in Space and the Amgen Golden Ticket.
*Kiran Reddy, MD, MBA, President and CEO at Praxis Precision Medicines - Dr. Reddy, has been a Venture Partner at Clarus Ventures, LLC since January 7, 2016 and serves as a co-chair of the Boston chapter of the Society for Physician Entrepreneurs. Currently, he is the President and Director of Praxis Precision Medicines a drug development services company. Previously, he was a Principal at Third Rock Ventures and was actively involved in the building and launch of Foundation Medicine and SAGE Therapeutics. He is a board certified Neurologist who completed his training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
*Vitor Pamplona, PhD, Founder and CTO, co-CEO at EyeNetra - Dr. Pamplona, is an award-winning inventor and fastidious scientist who has pioneered new methods for eye care diagnostics. He is currently the founder and CTO, co-CEO at EyeNetra developing mobile smartphone powered eye diagnostics/vision screening technology. He founded his first technology company when he was 15 years old, holds 4 patents, and is one of the few PhD students that published 4 academic papers as the leading author at the prestigious ACM SIGGRAPH conference.
