Can you see what I hear? Using high-speed video technology to improve voice health

Dr. Daryush Mehta
Director: MGH Voice and Speech Lab
Assistant Professor: Harvard Medical School

Dr. Mehta works closely with clinicians at Mass General Hospital to better understand how we use our vocal system during our daily lives, and how we can harness technology to improve voice rehabilitation. Basic research in the lab deals with the physiology behind how humans produce sound from the voice box, while more translational projects are focused on using the voice to provide hints to underlying medical conditions, including depression and heart disease.
