Diving In: Exploring the Extreme Life of the Deep Sea

featuring:
Dr. Jeffrey Marlow, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow, Girguis Laboratory, Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, Harvard University

Monday, July 1st at 6:30pm
Foundry on Elm, 255 Elm St., Somerville

The deep sea is one of the largest but least explored habitats on Earth, an environment marked by extreme pressures, temperatures, and chemical conditions. Jeff and other members of the Girguis lab will share their experiences from research expeditions and the laboratory, as they work to understand how life works at these sites and how it helps shape our planet.
