On Monday, January 15th in honor of MLK, Jr. Day Uncle Nearest will host A Scavenger Hunt & Bar Stroll around the city of Boston to kick off the Uncle Nearest HBCU Old Fashioned Challenge! And the best part of all...our Master Blender Victoria Eady Butler will be coming to town for it!


We’ll start off the day with a Scavenger Hunt & Bar Stroll across the city of Boston, culminating with a Day Party with our Master Blender Victoria Eady Butler where the winners will be crowned, win a grand prize, and receive bragging rights! Our kick off location will be revealed later this week, and the Day Party location will be revealed on Monday, to keep the event competitive and fun!

What is the HBCU Old Fashioned Challenge?

From January 15, 2024 (in honor of MLK Jr. Day) through June 19, 2024 (in honor of Juneteenth), Uncle Nearest is partnering with restaurants, bars and retailers, as well as our Uncle Nearest #WhiskeyFamily to raise up to $1.4 Million for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in order to provide one full in-state tuition scholarship to each of the accredited schools.
