L.L.Bean presents day-long experience with facilitated and self-guided activities for island visitors of all ages. Learn how to fly a kite, hike with a ranger, take a yoga or zumba class, or enjoy swimming in the Harbor!
Saturdays on Spectacle is made possible thanks to L.L.Bean, a premier part of the Find Your Park/Encuentra Tu Parque movement.

Island Yoga
9:45am - 11:00 am (starts July 6 - August 31)

Beginners yoga on the saddle near the Krystle Campbell Gazebo with Yoga Around Town.

Kids Pop-Up Programs
9:45am - 10:45 am

Join a ranger for a pop up program on the porch. Programs to include: touch tanks, sea-glass mosaics, kite making or crafts.

Zumba
10:30am - 11:15 am (starts July 6 - August 31)
Boston Harbor Islands Welcome Center

Hike with a Ranger
11:15am - 12:15 pm

Guided walk or hike the trails of Spectacle Island.

Go Fly A Kite
11:30am - 1:30 pm (starts July 6 - August 31)

Make your own kite, or borrow one from the Island.

Pop-Up Programs

Late afternoon Pop-Up program of the day!
Programs to include: coyote kit, I Spy, touch tank, sea-glass mosaics, art cart and hike with a ranger.

L.L.Bean Hammock City
1:00pm - 3:00 pm (July 13, July 27, August 10, August 17)

Relax, enjoy the sun, and take in the view of the Boston skyline from the two-person hammocks on the saddle at Spectacle Island.

Salt-Water Fly-Casting Clinic at Spectacle Island
12:00 - 1:00 pm, 2:00 -3:00 pm (July 13 and August 10)

Join us on the beach at Spectacle Island and learn the basics of salt-water fly-casting from the instructors at L.L.Bean Seaport Square. Ages: 12+

Map & Compass Challenge
12:00pm - 12:30 pm, 1:00pm - 1:30 pm, 2:00pm - 2:30 pm (July 27 and August 17)

Learn the basics of navigating with a map and compass from instructors at the L.L.Bean Seaport store, then head out with a compass direction and distance and see if you can find three hidden clues. Find all three and win a prize from L.L.Bean. Ages: 8+
