Sarasa will be rounding out an exceptional year of incredible music on May 20th and 21st with the luscious string music of compatriots and friends Anton Arensky and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, including the latter’s famous “Souvenir de Florence” for string sextet. The lesser-known Arensky String Quartet in A minor, dedicated to the memory of Tchaikovsky, opens with a magnificent orthodox hymn, extolling the very Russian roots of this neglected composer.
