The 19th annual SSRun will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2018!! Mark your calendar now!!


The SSRun is a fun, unique and crowd-pleasing fundraising event like no other you have experienced. It began in Boston in 2000 with 5 guys just looking to spread some holiday spirit by running through Back Bay in only Santa hats and Speedos. Since then it has grown to include 700 men and women each year and has become an annual holiday tradition that has hosted thousands of participants who have helped to raise nearly $2 million for local children in need.

Foundation, a terrific organization that provides Boston middle school students with a chance to play and build friendships and character through the lessons of sport - teamwork, communication, and discipline.


WHEN
Saturday, December 8, 2018. Doors open at 10:00 am. Run starts at 1:00 pm.
10:00 am - 12:45 pm: Check-in & libations
12:45 am - 1:00 pm: Preparation for run & gathering at the start line
1:00 pm - 1:30 pm: Run
1:30 pm: Post-run party


WHO
The SSRun registration is open to anyone at least 21 years of age. The run is limited, however, to the first 700 registrants.


WHERE
The run will start and end at Lir Tavern and Whiskey's at the corner of Gloucester Street and Boylston Street in Boston. The course is an approximate 1-mile jog that departs from Lir and Whiskey's and proceeds down Boylston Street to Berkeley Street. The group then runs back up Newbury Street to Gloucester Street, ending back where we began!


WHY
To participate in a fun and unique charity event to raise money for the Play Ball! Foundation.


ATTIRE
Here's what you'll need the day of the run: Obviously, a Speedo-like bathing suit is required. Holiday colors are preferred. Please, no thongs! We know you have the body to pull it off, so why prove what's obvious?
- Sneakers
- Santa hat, beard, and other holiday flair at your discretion
- A bag to put your clothes in while running
- Copy of your registration email
- Pledge sheet with any donations collected offline

NEW! Reduced fundraising commitment of $250 for participants 25 and under only. *Eligibility is confirmed on race day at runner check-in.


$250 25 & Under runner: includes pre/post party at Lir, swag bag, 1 drink ticket


$400 Regular Individual runner: includes pre/post party at Lir, swag bag, 1 drink ticket


$1,000 VIP Individual runner: includes VIP gift and discounts, pre/post party at Lir, swag bag, 2 drink tickets.


Team Fundraising: NEW this year! Start a team and fundraise together. Team minimum = (# of runners x $400). Team members still qualify for the VIP runner benefits.
