Join us for a seed swap, and a seedling swap co-hosted by the The Somerville Community Growing Center.


Trade seed varieties with your neighbors, and swap extras of seedlings that you have around your home! Meet other Somerville growers and trade tips and tricks for starting seedlings at your home!


Like any good potluck, if you plan on taking home seedlings or seeds, plan to bring some to trade, along with any information you have on the variety that could be helpful - do they love sun? Are they good at vining or produce early in the season? Notes on color of blooms?


Pick up some information about how to save your own seed varieties this fall, and get planting!


Learn about The Somerville Community Growing Center and what they do in our community:


Initiated in 1994, the Somerville Community Growing Center is the Center is a model for urban land use and collaboration between city government and local nonprofit and community agencies. Much more than a green space, it is where community grows. The SCGC hosts rich programming including environmental education and cultural performances and offers unique volunteer opportunities.

The Friends of the Community Growing Center is the non-profit organization that oversees the Center. A volunteer group, it coordinates on-site concerts, festivals, wellness, educational programs and other events, free to the public.


The Center provides a hands-on learning environment for local youth to learn about the natural world, science, community service and cultural issues.


This event is part of ReVision: a Community Sustainability Series, organized by Aeronaut Brewing Co.
