In this course, students will use the photography as a material remix imagery in unique photo collages. Inspired by the pattern and repetition in Jeffrey Gibson’s hanging fringe cube sculptures in the Infinite Indigenous Queer Love exhibition (on display at the deCordova from October 15, 2021 – March 13, 2022), students will experiment with repeating, combining, and overlapping images to create larger grids or patchworks that explore themes such as identity, time, and order.
