Over 65 million people have been forcibly displaced across the world. 21 million of those are refugees, and 50 percent of them are children. But who are they? Through three unique, individual stories, we shed light on the challenges they face, the choices they have to make, and their resilience to overcome a great deal of obstacles as they settle in their new homes.
Walk a Mile is an event series that bridges the gap between empathy and action by humanizing the voices of ordinary people who have overcome unimaginable challenges. Going beyond statistics, social media and bold headlines, storytellers share personal and intimate stories of struggles and triumphs that inspire listeners to take action and make positive change in their community and in the world. Walk a Mile is a call-to-action that challenges people to do more than just empathize, listen and learn.
