Join us as we welcome former presidential speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz to share her new book, “Here All Along: Finding Meaning, Spirituality, and a Deeper Connection to Life- in Judaism (After Finally Choosing to Look There)”
In addition to a Q&A with Sarah and select readings from the book, we will invite Rabbi William Hamilton and congregation president Gordon Bennett to share their journeys in a lively panel discussion about “choosing” Judaism through learning & discovery, activating the soul through service & prayer, and engaging with the Jewish community in all of its forms. The panel will be moderated by community member Grace Moshfegh.
This special evening will kick off Kehillath Israel’s “6+1” Campaign, inviting Boston’s Jewish community to engage with Judaism “6+1” days of the week. Through ongoing events, classes and cultural programming, “6+1” is always eager to welcome new friends to our community.
All guests must register in advance!
