Twenty eight female artists are set to showcase varied works at Artlery160ś upcoming exhibition, ¨Radar.¨ In collaboration with the National Association of Women Artists, Tameka Eastman-Coburn, Artlery160’s director, intended to create a “unified” showcasing with a piece that every viewer could identify with. Eastman-Coburn reasoned that, “too often we ignore the truth that climate change isn’t an “issue” to add to the list of things to get to, we are all actively involved already! This showcase aims to empower woman, who worldwide are impacted by the consequences of climate change at disproportionate rate”
The opening reception is scheduled for Feb. 17 at 160 Federal St. between 5-8 p.m. This Downtown-Financial District based gallery, is calling the showcase a “Call to Action; A call to Art.” Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Massachusetts Native Land Conservancy until March 17.
