In the early twentieth century Providence, Rhode Island, was one of many centers of interest in the revival of printmaking. Five printmakers in particular played an integral part in this movement.

Join Historic New England and Nancy Whipple Grinnell, Curator Emerita of the Newport Art Museum and Chair of the Collections Committee at Providence Art Club to hear about the influence of printmakers Eliza Draper Gardiner, William H. Drury, Arthur W. Heintzelman, Grace Arnold Albee, and Wilmer Jennings.

This lecture explores the ways these artists, all associated with the Rhode Island School of Design, made important contributions to their respective techniques of color woodblock, etching, wood engraving and linocut.

Tickets: $5.

Advance tickets required.

The link for the webinar will be included in the order confirmation for this program.
