Over the past year, GBH News explored the impact of skyrocketing housing prices and examined the Commonwealth's housing crisis from all angles in the series Priced Out: The fight for housing in Massachusetts. GBH reporters spoke to community organizers and community members facing housing insecurity from across the state, combining human stories and systemic analysis. The topics covered in the series reflect Massachusetts Law Reform Institute's advocacy priorities, including tenant empowerment, eviction record sealing, tenant opportunity to purchase, and homelessness services.
On June 5, MLRI is hosting a conversation with Stephanie Leydon, Head of Production for GBH's Priced Out series, as well as housing justice leaders. We will discuss the creation of Priced Out, the responsibilities of reporting on housing justice, and how storytelling can and should shape the housing justice movement.
This event is free, but registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided. Audience participation in Q&A is encouraged. More information about panelists coming soon.
