This introductory five-week class offers an overview of a wide range of printmaking processes. We'll explore a variety of printmaking techniques, tailoring the curriculum to your interests. This class offers a hands-on survey of the printmaking processes available at our studio, including monotype, etching, relief (woodcut and linocut), and lithography. Each week will introduce a new process, covering the fundamentals of design, matrix preparation, inking, and printing. We'll discuss the unique characteristics of each method and explore how they can be used to create a wide range of images.
This course is designed to be flexible and student-driven, allowing us to focus on the techniques that intrigue you most. No prior printmaking experience is necessary – all skill levels are welcome! Come prepared to experiment, collaborate, and discover the fascinating possibilities of printmaking.
This workshop is limited to 6 participants.
