Pride is Brewing at OAK Long Bar + Kitchen

OAK Long Bar + Kitchen, located in Copley Square where the Boston Pride For The People Parade route starts on Saturday, June 8th, invites parade participants and spectators to visit its patio for *complimentary* coffee and espresso samples between 9 and 11 a.m. to fuel up before the procession begins (at 11 a.m.) The restaurant has partnered with Nespresso—which has a nearby boutique inside the Prudential Center—to serve these free ‘cups of community,’ gifting parade-goers caffeine to kickstart their exciting day of Pride festivities (while supplies last; decaf also available).

Nespresso’s mobile brewing cart will be on site, and people are welcome to enjoy OAK’s patio space to connect and relax over coffee ahead of the merriment, seats first come, first served. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes including the stylish Vertuo Pop machine and OAK gift cards.

OAK opens for brunch at its regular time of 7 a.m. the morning of the parade and will serve its Pride food special: heart-shaped gluten free pancakes with a rainbow lemon glaze and mixed berries ($23). The pancakes are available daily for breakfast and brunch the entire month of June with $1 per order donated to BAGLY: The Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth. A cocktail special, The LuLu ($18), featuring tanqueray gin, piper sonoma rose, strawberry, raspberry and lime, will also be served in June with the same $1 donation model. On the day of the parade, Saturday, June 8th, OAK will proudly donate 100% of proceeds from both Pride specials.
