To celebrate Pride Month, the Cape Ann Museum is hosting its first Pride Family Picnic at the Cape Ann Museum Green (CAM Green) as part of Cape Ann Pride Weekend. The free event will be held on Sunday, June 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. and will feature fun for the whole family through books, art, and music.
Families are invited to bring their own blankets to enjoy Rainbow Story Time, the Genders of the Sea, and music from Jammin’ with You on the CAM Green campus, located at 13 Poplar St. in Gloucester off Grant Circle. There will also be a curated collection of LGBTQ+ stories with Sawyer Free Library, art activities, and free lunches made available by The Open Door. Registration is required. To register in advance, visit www.capeannmuseum.org/event/pride-family-picnic.
The event is generously funded in part by the Essex County Community Foundation’s Creative County Initiative.
