The Portraits of Pride Exhibit is an annual large-scale portraiture installation presented by the Boston LGBTQ+ Museum of Art, History & Culture, celebrating Boston’s LGBTQ+ community. This exhibition features powerful photographic portraits of influential LGBTQ+ leaders, activists, and community members, capturing their stories through the lens of renowned photographers John Huet, Ben Flythe, and Marcia Williams.
The 2024 installation, presented in partnership with Seaport by WS Development and sponsored by TD Bank, PNC Bank, and Eastern Bank, marks the third annual exhibit and commemorates the 20th anniversary of the landmark Goodridge v. Department of Public Health case. Displayed at Sea Green Park in the Seaport District, this year’s exhibit highlights six plaintiffs of the historic case alongside other community champions, creating a visual narrative that emphasizes liberation, identity, and community.
