You're invited to Popcorn Comedy: an intimate standup comedy experience in the Somerville Theatre's microcinema! This 30-seat movie theater will host some of Boston's very best comedians for a night of nonstop laughs. Our comics have been featured on Amazon Prime, The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, The Second City, Don't Tell Comedy, the Boston Comedy Festival, and the New York Comedy Festival.
This month's headliner is the hilarious Emily Ruskowski, who has opened for Maria Bamford at The Wilbur, been profiled in The Washington Post, and headlined Nick's Comedy Stop.
- Doors open at 7:00pm and the show starts at 7:30pm.
- Come early to watch classic cartoons on the big screen.
- Grab candy, popcorn, and fountain drinks at the theater's snack bar or bring your own!
- Outside food and drink are allowed at the microcinema (aside from alcohol)
- Beer and wine are available in the lobby
Opened in 1914, the historic Somerville Theatre is conveniently located right next to the Davis Square T stop on the Red Line. Parking is available nearby. The microcinema is located in the basement of the theater. We can't wait to get things popping at the show!
