Situated amongst some of Gardner’s most highly acclaimed masterworks, Major Jackson will provide a reading of his own work in the Tapestry Room. Jackson is the author of four collections of poetry: Roll Deep (W. W. Norton, 2017), Holding Company (2010) and Hoops (2006), both finalists for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literature-Poetry, and Leaving Saturn (University of Georgia, 2002), winner of the 2001 Cave Canem Poetry Prize and finalist for a National Book Critics Award Circle.
Co-presented with the Poetry Society of America.
