A family and young-audiences event with an original score by Associate Professor Rene Pfister, director of the Theater for Young Audiences ensemble at Berklee. Pinocchio features original orchestrations by students and an eight-piece band. Join the Blues Fairy and the Funky Cricket as they try to help Pinocchio do his best to tell the truth. He will have to escape the Evil Coachman and be sneezed out of the belly of a whale before he finally becomes a real boy.
With songs like "Tell the Band to Kick It, I'm Your Cricket," "Sneezed Out by a Whale" and "I Love My Donkeys," this funky retelling of what it takes to be "real" is fun for the whole family. Pinocchio is an hour long mini-musical, with a jazz and pop score that will give kids an opportunity to learn and sing along on one of the songs.
