Taylor Apostol’s ceramic and stone sculptures combine everyday elements into Piles, revealing a slice of a person’s identity, while simultaneously considering the problematic nature of consumption. The piles include familiar household items like clothing, dishes, waste bins, coupons, water bottles, and delivery trucks or packaging remnants from shipped goods. These items represent human consumption: commerce and the movement of goods, and the waste we discard.
