Dismissed as common or reviled as dirty, pigeons are an often-misunderstood bird. In contrast, doves are often described as lovely and peaceful. In fact, pigeons and doves are very closely related, and they are all beautiful, intelligent birds deserving of our respect and care. Let's dispel some myths about and stigma around pigeons and spend some time learning about pigeons and doves. We'll go for a walk to observe birds in nature and walk away with a deepened appreciation for the bird people love to hate.
This event will be partially outdoors, so please dress according to the weather. Any experienced and beginner birders welcome!
