The sun has set but the fun and mischief are just beginning. Join us for our last orchestral show of the season and hear Felix Mendelssohn's legendary music written for Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. We'll also be featuring Phoenix hornist Nick Auer and tenor Omar Najmi on Benjamin Britten's Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings. Bring your friends and grab a drink, it's the perfect excuse for a nightcap!
Named the Improper Bostonian’s ‘Best Classical Ensemble of 2017,’ Phoenix is dedicated to making its audience feel welcome from the moment they walk through the doors. Musicians greet audience members at the door and are approachable and engaging throughout the evening. Drinks are available at the bar throughout the night, and the music is broken up into manageable half-hour sets. Since 2016, Phoenix has been proud to be dedicated to the promotion of both female composers and composers of color, and received a grant for outstanding programming from the Women’s Philharmonic Association in 2017.
