A Phish afterparty featuring Boston's own Weird Phishes. These free back-to-back shows will take place at Lucky Strike Social, across the street from Fenway Park directly after Phish's performances on July 5th and 6th. Weird Phishes will play two sets starting at 11pm.
Weird Phishes is exactly what it sounds like - the iconic melancholy rock songs of Radiohead reborn as danceable, crunchy jams. Featuring a cast of musicians from Nemes, Gang of Thieves, Wild Versatile, and Mad Yonder, the group pits the unmistakable energy of Phish against Radiohead's ineffable songwriting, making each performance a unique and unpredictable treat.
On July 5 & 6, Weird Phishes will bring their jam-heavy take on selections from all of Radiohead's classic albums to the Fenway area. Their sonic re-imagining of the records are full of surprises, from unexpected mashups to extended improvisational grooves, all while weaving in and out of Phish songs along the way.
Despite your level of familiarity with Phish or Radiohead, Weird Phishes' performances have quickly gained a reputation for creating something wholly original that any live music lover can enjoy themselves at.
