PEM Presents: Hub New Music - Journeying Home

Join us for a performance honoring Hub New Music chamber ensemble’s tenth anniversary and its ongoing creative partnership with the Peabody Essex Museum!
To celebrate Hub's storied relationship with PEM, the musicians have curated a dynamic musical program responding to the idea of "a journey home." The program concludes with the world premiere of a new work by acclaimed composer Nico Muhly, inspired by the museum’s Maritime art and history collection and co-commissioned by PEM.
After the performance, join us for a reception with refreshments, meet the members of Hub New Music and explore the Maritime gallery to see the object that inspired Muhly’s new work.
There will be a brief ten-minute intermission.
