What does a chickpea fritter taste like in Newtonville? Be the first to find out on July 9 and 10!
Originally we’d been hoping to do a soft open tomorrow (July 1) but we had some unexpected permitting delays (our own fault, the Town of Newton has been amazing). If you poke your head in, we’re happy to give you a tour (or check out this video tour Ayr made last week), just no food quite yet.
However, we’d love to invite you and all your friends to join us for our grand opening in Newton!
Pay What You Want Weekend
& Ribbon Cutting with Mayor Fuller
July 9 and 10 at CloverNTV
845 Washington St, Newtonville
~all proceeds benefiting the Newton Schools Foundation~
From 11am-2pm each day, come to CloverNTV and pay anything you want for lunch ($1, $100, $1000: really, whatever you want!). And if the thought of a 80 cent (or $80) chickpea fritter doesn’t excite you, we’ll also have prizes for the first 20 people in line each day 😲
Here’s the best part. We are going to donate ALL PROCEEDS (not just profits) from Pay What You Want Day to the Newton Schools Foundation, a nonprofit that gives grants to Newton public school teachers that they can use for their classrooms.
After the hard year that our teachers have had, we wanted to give back to them in a big way, so we reached out to Diane and her team at NSF and partnered with them for our grand opening. Kev and Jasper are ready to make a lot of sandwiches, but we’re going to need your help to buy them!
We’re trying to raise 5k on July 9 and 10.
So if you’re a student, parent, former student, or teacher enjoying a much-needed summer vacation, or you just love good food, spread the word!
We’re honored to be kicking things off on Friday at 10:30am with a ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Fuller. I heard George Howell will be making an appearance to christen his new espresso bar inside of CloverNTV (and to check out the beautiful plants growing on premises). We’ll have panelle sandwiches, rhubarb agua fresca, some new desserts and the full Clover menu on deck.
So tell everyone you know, come help us get used to our new digs, meet Kev and his team, taste food that’s good for you and good for the planet, maybe win some prizes, and let’s raise some cash for our hardworking public school teachers!!!
