Watch Noble Dust & Cricket Blue perform from home during this time of social distancing! All funds collected will be split between Passim and the artists.
Noble Dust:
“There is beauty in the power of all aspects of the band’s music, but it’s balanced by just how damn fun it is...” - Red Line Roots
A motley collection of reformed band geeks, Noble Dust creates dynamic, lyrically-driven progressive folk pop, blending ethereal vocal harmonies with intricate horn and string melodies. The group released their eponymous debut EP in December of 2015 and received a grant from Club Passim's Iguana Music Fund to complete their first full length album, And The Tide Rises released in April of 2018.
From the band:
"Though our touring and recording plans (like all good things) have been put on hold this year, we've been making socially distant home recordings of our brand new material and a cover or two! We're excited to share this set of new songs arranged for cello, trumpet, and guitar. "
Cricket Blue:
Cricket Blue's dense, often dark narratives are delivered with intricate guitarwork and catchy hooks. Listeners have lauded their songs as "an astonishing mix of original lyrics and arrangements that rewards the casual listener, as well as those who choose to lean forward and roll them around like great pieces of literature and composition" and an "unlikely combination of the gothic, the literary, and the hummable."
“On Serotinalia, Cricket Blue set a new standard for fiction folk” - All Scene Eye
“Indie folk with soul and intellect.” - Seven Days
From the band:
"Cricket Blue has not been able to play a show for the public since this whole pandemic started - but where there’s a will there’s a way! Watch Laura and Taylor stream from one of their all-time favorite venues from the comfort of their own homes. This session will be pre-recorded because of internet latency, but it will be an all-new performance of your favorite quarantunes."
