Boston’s fourteenth Music for Food season continues on Sunday, January 28th, at 7:30pm in New England Conservatory’s Brown Hall with a program of Haydn’s The Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross, his late string quartet in d minor, Op. 103, and premiere by Da-Yu Liu! All proceeds from this concert will benefit Women’s Lunch Place.
Music for Food Boston’s 14th Season–Parlando–is all about musical storytelling.
The pieces in this program will be performed by violinist Miriam Fried, violinist Paul Biss, violist Nicholas Cords, cellist Yeesun Kim, and violist Njord Fossnes. In all MFF concerts, artists donate their stupendous talent and valuable time and audience members give what they can to support a local food relief organization. Admission to the concert is free with a suggested donation ($40/adult, $15/student), no tickets or RSVPs are necessary, and ALL proceeds will go to Women’s Lunch Place–a day shelter serving women experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty in the greater Boston area. More information about the concert and a link to donate may be found at https://musicforfood.net/boston/s14c3 .
