New to HUBweek this year, the Ideas Dome Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA will feature a series of more than four dozen sessions taking place across five days, exploring how we can build a more inclusive and equitable future.
How the heck do you talk to your kids about the safety of using marijuana now that recreational pot is legal in Massachusetts? There's limited research and a lot of mixed messaging out there. Nearly 40% of teens will try marijuana before they graduate high school, so parents should arm themselves with the facts. We'll discuss: the science of pot and the developing brain; early warning signs; the alcohol vs. pot debate; driving under the influence of marijuana and more.
Speakers:
Jodi Gillman
Director of Neuroscience & Assistant Professor, Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Addiction Medicine, Harvard Medical School
Gene Beresin, MD
Executive Director, The Clay Center for Young Healthy Minds | Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital
Please note: all Ideas Dome sessions require a free HUBweek General Admission Pass to attend.
