Visit Spectacle Island for the Parade of Sail of the Tall Ships, as they navigate into Boston’s Inner Harbor. Views from the from the top of the North Drumlin of Spectacle Island are unparalleled as the North Drumlin of Spectacle Island gives the highest vantage point in Boston Harbor, and unprecedented views of this extraordinary event. Produced in partnership with the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and National Park Service (NPS), the day will feature a unique visitor experience to view the Parade of Sail, and learn about nautical history through hands-on educational and engaging programming.
Boston Harbor Cruises will be departing at 7:00 am from Long Wharf and, departing Spectacle Island at 3:00 pm. Additional boats will leave from Hingham Shipyard at 7:15 am and 8:45 am, departing Spectacle Island at 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm. There will not be any service back to Boston or Hingham prior to scheduled departures. Visitors will be at Spectacle Island for up to 8 hours or more. Return departures will be subject to clearance from USCG and law enforcement following the Parade’s conclusion and may be subject to delay.
Programming to include:
* Narration to identify and describe ships as they pass the Island.
* Family activities – kite flying, ship building, crafts, knot tying, storytelling, pirates, lawn games, scavenger hunt, flag making, photo experiences, face painting, hiking and more
* Food package by Salt Water Lobster Company
Tickets cost $75 for adults and $70 for children. All tickets include: round trip ferry transportation, all day programming, and food package featuring pastries and coffee upon arrival, and a BBQ lunch buffet, including: choice of hamburger or hot dog, chips and drink. Additional items will be available for purchase a la carte at the Salt Water Lobster Company.
