The Painting the Town exhibit, on display April 1 through May 31, highlights diverse public art projects installed around Arlington as part of the 250th commemoration of the American Revolution.
On May 10, join Public Arts Curator Cecily Miller for a discussion of the challenges, complexities and rewards of developing public artworks for Arlington 250. Some of these artworks featured at the Mill include silkscreen banners for display on light poles along Mass Ave., painted horses and utility boxes, sculptural pedestals, and a timeline project connecting past and present.
Note this exhibition runs in conjunction with “The Road Where It Happened: Revolution Comes to Menotomy,” which examines the landscape and people of Menotomy and their role in the founding of America.
