Would you like to go on a kayaking and biking the same day but don’t own either or know where to go? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Enjoy a three hour guided kayak tour through the Great Marsh of the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge from the northern tip of Plum Island to Pavilion Beach at the southern tip.
This paddle will coincide with the spawning of the Horseshoe Crabs. If you’re lucky you should see lots of these fascinating creatures. Don’t worry about kayaking with the Green Head Flies; they don’t hatch until early July. At Pavillion Beach you’ll drop off your kayaks and hop on bikes for a leisurely fifteen mile self-guided scenic ride from Ipswich back to Newburyport. Enjoy a relaxing lunch at the beach and stop for ice-cream or snacks along the way.
Requirements:
You must have gone kayaking/canoeing at least once. No absolute beginners. You must be able to bike 15 miles with some hills.
