Awareness is the tool for inquiring into how we do what we do so that we can do what we want. In this mini-series, we will explore how we can settle our nervous system using quick, rhythmic movements to interrupt habitual patterns of stress. These lessons are soothing, stimulating, and comforting.
Physical manifestations of unconscious stress and anxiety may present as tension in the jaw, hands, shoulders, abdomen, and feet. By learning to transmit a gentle and easy wave-like force through yourself, these areas of tension release. You can shift the organization of your body, as well as your emotional state. Your brain moves towards the improvement and the effects of these lessons often are both immediate and long-lasting.
In Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® lessons the goal is not awareness; the goal is spontaneity. These lessons connect to your life off the mat in meaningful and surprising ways.

Each lesson will be recorded and the edited audio recording will be available for streaming and downloading for anyone that registers for the series. This way, if you cannot make it one week, you won’t miss out on the material and you can study the lesson on your own time. The last 15 minutes of class there will be an optional discussion about the lesson, with time for asking questions, harvesting and sharing how the lesson was for you, and creating community within the group.
