We're happy to host poet Nadia Colburn and musician Kelly Spyglass at our next open mic - please help us spread the word and come with something to share!
Featured poet Nadia Colburn is the author of The High Shelf, published by The Words Words in the fall of 2019. Her poetry and essays have appeared widely in such places as The New Yorker, American Poetry Review, The Kenyon Review, Conjunctions, Spirituality & Health and more than 70 other places. She holds a PhD in English from Columbia, a BA from Harvard, is a serious student of Thich Nhat Hanh and a kundalini yoga instructor. Nadia is also the founder of Align Your Story Writing School and Coaching for women and offers online classes, in-person classes, workshops and retreats throughout New England.
She lives in Cambridge, MA with her husband and two teenage children. Nadia is also a committed activist for social justice and the environment. She enjoys spending time in nature, biking, playing the piano and travel. For free resources for writers and to see more, visit https://nadiacolburn.com
Featured musician Kelly Spyglass is an American singer/songwriter based in Boston. She was lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist in the band Amber Spyglass, thru 2013. As a solo performer, Kelly is able to showcase her fingerpicking and intimate vocal style. Gravitating towards a dark folk genre, the use of guitar effects and ethereal vocalizations contribute to her craft of songwriting.
