Historic New England's Pierce House, one of the last surviving examples of seventeenth-century architecture in Boston, is open for tours from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event is a great way to learn more about the ten generations of the family that lived in the house for more than 250 years.
During those 250+ years, the building’s appearance changed as each generation left their mark. The tour explores these architectural changes with opportunities to see original 1683 clapboards, a visit to the attic to see evidence of early construction, and other behind-the-scenes hidden spaces.
Visit on June 3 to explore this wonderful document of Dorchester history.
