Pre-requisites: has already taken a beginner level class, can comfortably hold a ukulele, read and play from chord diagrams, play the basic strum patterns and chords in two-chord songs.
A bootcamp or boot camp usually refers to an intensive physical workout with repetitive exercises and challenges. Originally intended as an all day class before the pandemic changed everything, the eight hours have been stretched over eight weeks. Each class delivers bespoke exercises and tips for fingering and switching chords, strumming techniques, coordination, and application to a song each week.

Register for 8 classes, each one-hour duration in Zoom. After each class, you will receive a handout with links to class video recordings so you can play back and play along.
This class is also offered on Tuesdays at 12:30 pm EDT. Students registered in bootcamp can take either or both classes each week.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Anne Ku is the author of a new 110-page book on the ukulele, based on her teaching practice in Boston, after teaching music at the University of Hawaii Maui College. With degrees in music from the UK and the Netherlands, she founded the ukulele movement in Historic Lower Mills and has performed in the Boston Guitar Orchestra. Her easy piano arrangements are freely available and have been recorded by passionate music lovers everywhere. She hosts Three Chord Thursdays at Three, the popular weekly song session in Zoom.
