Let's have fun with sound ! In this short interactive course I will guide the class through some techniques for gathering sounds and using free software to modify and collage the sounds into meaningful soup for your film, art or musical needs. We will cover online free sound resources, using the timeline, record and edit functions in software, fading things in and out, and the use of effects. We will put all these skills to the test by creating a "score" for a short animation. Let's break out of royalty free and use free tools to add depth to our projects.
