On most Wednesday evenings throughout the year, a Cambridge Insight Meditation teacher or visiting teacher offers a Dharma talk. This week's Dharma Talk is by Greg Kramer (bio below), entitled "Words and the Wordless in Silent and Relational Meditation".
Registration is not required; this is a drop-in program. We invite attendees to offer financial support for our visiting teachers through the practice of dana (generosity). All are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
Wednesday Evening Dharma schedule
6:30 – 7:15: Evening Sit
7:15 – 7:30: Mindful Break
7:30 – 8:45: Dharma Talk
You are welcome to attend just the sit, just the talk, or both. Please note that the doors to the meditation hall will be closed at 6:40 for the Evening Sit and at 7:40 for the Dharma talk.
Greg Kramer started teaching insight meditation in 1980. Since 1995 he has offered Insight Dialogue — an interpersonal meditation practice he co-created and then developed to its present form — and he often teaches in extended retreats. The Buddhist path is one he lives daily, and he hopes his teaching conveys that in a vital way. He's been immersed in a re-examination of the earliest Buddhist teachings with keen attention to relationality. This relational Dharma, and his own life experience, has led him to emphasize an integrated path of development, where individual and interpersonal meditation are joined with contemplation, ethical inquiry, and a commitment to kindness.
