The history of millinery goes back centuries and is thought to have been popularized in Milan, Italy. Over the years milliners have re-trimmed hats to reuse hard to find materials and update what is in their closets. This class explores the deconstructing of a hat or headpiece to re-trim it, making updates so that it can be worn with this seasons outfits. Working with bias, wiring bows and creating fabric flowers will be taught.
Bring a hat from the back of your closet or we will provide a blank for you to add your special touches to.
