Join us for a special evening hike, led by Tim Puopolo, a Trustees ranger and naturalist, and recipient of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation’s “Outstanding Park Interpreter” award. During our guided hike, Tim will teach us how different types of plants and animals cope with the universal changes the land undergoes as the seasons evolve. Keep your eyes open for animal tracks and other signs of wildlife on the farm and in the woods!
The hike will be about 30 minutes long and will follow some of Chestnut Hill Farm’s most beautiful trails. The campfire will be going and there will be hot cocoa (if it’s chilly) and s’mores. Bring the family and friends — this popular program is well-loved for good reason!
Be sure to wear boots or shoes that are appropriate for hiking in potentially wet and muddy spots, and you may want to bring a flashlight in case of cloud cover.
Space is limited for this event and pre-registration is required. These hikes often sell out far in advance, so register early!
Registration closes two days prior to the event. If it is within two days and you wish to register, please email [email protected] or call 508-658-3112 to find out if there is space remaining.
Participants will be asked to follow Covid-19-related guidelines, including wearing face coverings and maintaining social distance. Hand-washing stations and/or hand sanitizer will be provided. If you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, please do not attend the event.
Please note that while we love dogs, they are not permitted at Chestnut Hill Farm.
For the most up-to-date information or weather cancellations for this and other programs, follow Chestnut Hill Farm’s Facebook page.
