The Thirsty Scholar in Somerville is gearing up for a Patriots-less Super Bowl Sunday by putting their focus on the real MVPs of the game: the snacks. On February 12, these tailgate-style munchies will have fans doing touchdown dances as they pair them with a pitcher of beer ($15) or two ($30).

 

“Football Gives Me Wings” has you scoring seven ($14), 15 ($25) and 30 ($42) plain wings or slathered in your choice of buffalo, house BBQ or sweet slap sauces. There also is a Sampler Platter ($35) filled with game day essentials: a half-dozen each of wings, tenders and mozzarella sticks in addition to a trio of steak eggrolls.
