This is a four session event with two virtual sessions and two in person sessions.
Join instructor Emily Belz to learn the settings, considerations, and stylistic choices that go in to making photographs in low light conditions. This class will be a combination of meetings on Zoom (one session to start the class and one session to finish it) and on-site supported photography sessions (one at the deCordova and one at the Crane Estate).
Topics covered will include: equipment; exposure; manual focusing; RAW vs. Jpeg shooting; and selecting subject matter. For this workshop students will need a DSLR or mirrorless camera with full manual capabilities and a tripod. Previous photography experience is necessary.
Teacher Bio: Emily Belz is a photographer and educator based in Lincoln, MA. Her work focuses on domestic still lifes, and reveals a strong affinity for light, space, and color.
Admission is $128 for Trustees Members and $160 for Non-Members. Admission includes instruction and access to deCordova Sculpture Park and The Crane Estate.
