The Nate Aronow Nextet has been delighting Boston audiences with their brand of thoughtful and entertaining contemporary jazz at clubs, festivals and private events for several years now. At this POSTUnderground concert the band will be playing several of its most popular original contemporary jazz compositions in swing, latin and fusion styles, as well as a few tunes composed by some of the jazz greats such as Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter and Miles Davis. The Nextet consists of Nate on piano, Kenji Kikuchi on also saxophone and flute, Ken Ormes on guitar, Reed Butler on bass and Dr. David Mann on drums. We’ll play from 7-8, opening for the excellent “Standards by Starlight” who will play until 11pm! No cover charge, free munchies available, and inexpensive VFW beverage prices. What’s not to like?
