Professional artists with a focus on dance-making in any genre (including Circus Arts) are invited to apply to the Next Steps for Boston Dance Grant! Attend an info session to learn tips about what leads to a successful application, hear from prior grantees about their experience, and get your application questions answered. With a mission to strengthen the field of dance in Greater Boston, Next Steps for Boston Dance provides multi-layered support for Greater Boston’s choreographers, including:
- 250 hours of flexible rehearsal space over 18 months* (see our partners list below)
- 5 consulting meetings with expert advisors in chosen areas of need and/or interest to the artist including artistic, organizational, technical, marketing and communication, or strategic/business planning
- $6,000 in implementation funds to create or complete a project or take a “next step” in work or career
- A series of cohort meetings to connect choreographers, build relationships and allow for co-learning
- Access to ongoing support for grantees that continues post the grant period: includes project funds, advise, and workshops
Next Steps for Boston Dance is a Boston Foundation, Aliad Fund, and Movement Arts Creation Studio Partnership.
