Long part of the history of art, still life painting has taken on a new vigor as modern painting-a-day artists arrange everyday objects into designs of eye-popping beauty. In this class students will learn not only how to paint a still life, but how to go about setting one up using fruit, flowers, objects and a spotlight. Emphasis is on accurate drawing, a composition with dynamic balance, and the hierarchy of color saturation. First class begins with a slideshow. Handouts. (Min 6 students.Max 15.)
