April 19, 2022 (Boston and NYC) - We're all living at a time when our nation and the world feels bitterly polarized and divided. In response, two friends and musical collaborators – each with notable achievements – are proud to release their song, "Let There Be Love" ... a message of healing, unity and acceptance for everyone.
One might have thought that a terrible pandemic taking lives across the world would have unified us all. Instead, terms like "anti-vaxxers" and "social distancing" have become part of everyday parlance and partisanship, along with "red states" and "blue states." The heartbreaking war in the Ukraine has further darkened our global context, with senseless deaths and the threat of nuclear weapons being deployed.
Heart-centered singer-songwriter Linda Marks and lyricist Mike Greenly decided to address the divisions across society with their new song, and teamed up with Erik Balkey, Hudson Harding Music and Glenn Barratt, Morningstar Studios to produce it. With a release on Global Love Day – May 1, 2022 – they hope the message they've created will help to raise consciousness that we humans improve life on the planet when we find and celebrate our common ground as people, communities and nations.
Being split and torn apart by political divides
We're all people, can't you see, with hearts and souls inside
The actions that we take impact everyone alive
May we join our hands and hearts to assure we all survive
Greenly and Marks will be greatly pleased if their work inspires even a little more comity among us all … as symbolized by Global Love Day, itself.
