Join us at the inaugural New England Hong Kong Festival at Union Square Plaza in Somerville on May 18th, from 4-8pm! Immerse yourself in Hong Kong culture with a wide array of Asian and Hong Kong-inspired goods, including art, accessories, toys, snacks, books, and crafts, all provided by local small businesses. Grab some quick bites from Asian and Hong Kong vendors while enjoying live cultural performances, including Lion Dance, Cantonese Opera, and Cantonese-pop by local bands such as Juksing, Barry & Friends, and Nicole. Enjoy free games and interactive activities as you get a taste of Hong Kong culture in the heart of Somerville!
The New England Hong Kong Festival is co-hosted by the City of Somerville, Somerville Arts Council, and SomerViva Office of Immigrant Affairs in honor of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month. The festival is also part of the Somerville Arts Council ArtsUnion Series. Come celebrate diversity and community with us!
