Through the all-encompassing journey of Beethoven and Schubert’s Chamber Music, the “NEMPAC Concert Series” January recital will highlight some of the greatest chamber works and lieder of these two composers, including Schubert’s Fantasia in f minor. When Beethoven passed away in 1827, Schubert had the great responsibility of becoming the most revered and respected composer in Vienna. Schubert wrote tributes about Beethoven in letter form and in his musical works. This makes Beethoven and Schubert the power couple of Viennese society for the first half of the nineteenth century. The development of classical and romantic music owes so much to these titans of the musical world.
Surrounded by visual inspiration in the beautiful and intimate Bijou de la Vida Art Gallery, the North End Concert Series presents this recital with Andrei Baumann, piano and John Nevergall, tenor, and with NEMPAC’s Executive Director Sherri Snow, soprano, and Artistic Director, Christina Wright-Ivanova, piano. A wine and cheese reception, catered by Dare to Taste, will follow this prestigious performance.
Tickets are $25 online and $32 at the door (includes catered reception in a private art gallery). To purchase tickets for this event, please follow the link:
